The time of year that you would like to visit a ranch can play a very important part in the activities that are available. Of course early spring, summer, and fall are fantastic times to go horseback riding, fishing, hiking, rafting, and other fair weather activities.

The Montana Dude Ranchers’ Association is also proud to offer many different opportunities in the fall and winter months. We are lucky to have member ranches who are excellent outfitters and guides offering big game hunting trips in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Absaroke Beartooth Wilderness or deep in the heart of Montana's back country. These pack-trips are limited to the number of guests, so they experience a very high level of personal service.

Other great activities include cross country skiing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, and many other fun activities. An incredible opportunity to experience another type of Montana dude ranch vacation!
